Wanna Build the theme park of your dreams?, Thrillville has got you covered. Granted, there are a bunch of other theme park building games that have been on the market longer than this game has. However I remember as a kid how well advertised it was when it first released. Just the thought of being able to ride coasters and racetracks that you create as well as playing games and going on different carnival rides really stuck with me and after all these years it was honestly hard not to see why.

Graphically it’s not the finest looking game for the Original Xbox but what it lacks in visuals it really makes up for in gameplay and coaster customizations. There are five parks to be unlocked throughout the game and each have 3 different sections that only have a certain amount of power. Each Game, Ride and Coaster requires money. This unfortunately means you’ll have restrictions on what can be placed down and where it can be placed. The good news is that you can still get creative with your coaster designs and where to put Carnival Rides, Games and Stalls.

You’ll be led through the game by an ingenious yet somewhat wacky coaster scientist named Mortimer. He’ll help you get started with how to build and manage your theme parks and stop the ongoing schemes of their competitor Globo Joy. Aside from building your park you’ll also have to keep track of your guests and their happiness as well as setting up marketing campaigns to attract more guests. It’s good feature that adds on to the experience of running a theme park but thankfully it’s not required to keep track of if your into the building stuff more

Thrillville is such a fun experience that everyone should try. Especially if you like games where you can build anything you can imagine. Add that with a rockin soundtrack and a couple of laughs and you got a game that puts the thrill..into Thrillville.
