Open Season is a movie that….happened. It’s not good, but it’s harmless I guess. Still, at least we have a video game adaptation to talk about which is quite decent even if it does have its shortcomings

.Of course, the story follows the exact same adventures as the movie. You mainly play as Boog the bear but you’ll occasionally play as Elliot the one horned deer as well. The main objective is to make your way through the mountain wilderness while scaring off hunters. The humor of the game can be hit or miss for the most part. However, one of the rather unexpectedly fun things in the game is the ability to scare off human hunters and there are many humorous ways in doing so. Aside from the actual gameplay there are also mini games that can be unlocked during story mode and they are actually quite fun with my favorite being the log rolling challenge.

I honestly can’t say that much about the Open Season video game. It’s a decent enough game that has some laughs and passable gameplay. I would consider this a guilty pleasure not just for me but just in general.
